Product Description
The lands of Cothique have a wildness to them. In comparison to many other kingdoms of Ulthuan, they are windswept and untamed. In ages past these lands were threatened by Norse raiders and Dark Elf corsairs, but the creation of the Shifting Isles prevents hostile fleets from navigating to Cothique’s shores. Freed from obvious dangers, the nobles of Cothique indulge in intrigues and temptations, allowing hidden threats to inveigle their way into the neglected corners of their orderly realm. Agents of Chaos and the Dread King of Naggaroth stir up trouble and pave the way for a future conquest of the Kingdom.
The Warhammer Fantasy: Sea Wardens of Cothique book is a guide to the land of Cothique including an in-depth look at the port city of Tor Koruali, and the mysterious places and artefacts that may be found there. The book features several important High Elf patrons, including Prince Dalloran and his children, Princess Litharys of House Starshard, and Cireon Fleetcrest the Master of the Palace Grounds. The book also gives details of several ongoing interests these individuals are involved in.
Also included are several threats to Cothique and Ulthuan, such as the Norse infiltrator Revna Tharvig, monstrous creatures such as the dreaded Kraken, and the capricious Spite Ceyluii. In addition, the book features creatures of Ulthuan, including the White Lion, Flamesypre Phoenix, and Swiftfeather Roc.
Adding to the fun are the new adventure hooks and ideas, including a plot by Naggaroth’s most dangerous agent to befoul the rivers of Cothique, as well as expanded intrigues, including ideas on how to run a counter-intrigue such as a spying mission, subterfuge of enemy agents, and assassinations.
